Discovery Day at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine

For those thinking about a career in naturopathic medicine or just learning more about naturopathic medicine and its benefits, Discovery Day, an open house with free activities designed to educate the community about naturopathic medicine and provide insight for prospective students, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., November 14, at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, in Tempe. Registration begins at 8 a.m. on the SCNM Community Commons

Participants will be able to tour the building, learn about the Thrive community program and enjoy guest speakers, yoga demonstration classes, chair massages, acupuncture, cooking demonstrations, herbal tea and protein drink tastings at the organic cafe, book signings and giveaways during the all-day open house and vendor fair.

Naturopathic doctors look beyond symptoms and explore nutritional, emotional, environmental, hereditary and infectious factors that often are the cause of or contribute to a patient’s condition. At the event, students can learn about everything from prerequisites and financial aid to the innovative curriculum and career opportunities.

Admission is free and a complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served. Location: 2164 E. Broadway Rd. For more information and to register, visit scnm.edu/discoverscnm.
