Moksha Yoga Offers Multileveled Expertise and Benefits: This new Phoenix yoga studio offers a signature Master Flow class, among many others.

Tommy Zitzka and Dr. Charlotte Boyle are co-owners of Moksha Yoga, with classes for everyone and all level of practitioners. Their signature class is the Master Flow, available at 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. weekends, taught by a master teacher. It offers deeper aspects of yoga including breath work (pranayama), meditation and sometimes mantra, with modifications or alternate postures for different level of practitioners in the room.

Moksha also offers traditional practices such as ashtanga, primary series, second series, Mysore, para yoga, tantric yoga, Iyengar-inspired, hatha gong, jiva mukti, kundalini, viniyoga (Krismacharia-inspired), traditional hatha, yin, tai chi, and restorative. Along with these traditional classes, Moksha has the best flow teachers of heated Flow, 6 a.m. morning hour Flow, Power Hour for noon classes, Vinyasa Flow, Power, Slow Flow, Ashtanga Flow and beginner and foundation classes. Two other classes that really stand out at Moksha are prenatal and kids yoga classes. Moksha offers Kids Yoga at the same time as the Master Flow classes allowing parents to also practice at the same time.

Zitzka is a former college athlete and medic in the Air Force and a 500-hour E-RYT yoga teacher. He believes that regardless what style of yoga is offered, anyone can practice yoga when they have the right approach. “Yoga is one big breathing exercise, designed to slow down all the chatter and distractions in the mind, and hopefully guide you down a more peaceful path. When practicing all eight limbs of yoga, the goal is to find equanimity and balance, bringing you closer to your true self,” he says.

Boyle has a Ph.D. from Harvard, and as superintendent of Creighton School District, is one of the longest tenured superintendents in Arizona. She has practiced yoga everyday for the past 20 years and attributes much of her success in life to it. Boyle is also a huge proponent of yoga being offered more to kids in grammar school up through high school.

Moksha offers unlimited yoga for $108 a month and $50 a month for certified yoga teachers. There are also special rates for seniors, including those in Silver Sneaker programs, veterans, kids yoga, expectant mothers and beginners.
