Learn to Combine Hands and Heart

Those seeking a new, purposeful career or a part-time position for extra income in massage therapy, bodywork or energy work will want to attend a Massage and Bodywork Exploration to be held from 3 to 8 p.m., February 15, at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA), in Tempe.

KC Miller, founder and CEO of SWIHA, will share why and how she became a massage therapist and the strategies she used to build a successful private practice. Career opportunities for massage therapists will be addressed, with Valley employers on hand. Qualified practitioners should bring their résumé.

Participants will learn about many massage modalities, bodywork and energy work, including Asian massage, Swedish massage, myotherapy, myofascial release, Reiki, yoga, polarity therapy and reflexology.

Admission is free. Location: 1100 E. Apache Blvd. To RSVP, call 480-994-9244, email [email protected] or visit Swiha.edu/Massage-Career-Expo.
