Kids for Ryan House Program Empowers Students

Ryan House, a Phoenix-based nonprofit that provides respite, palliative and end-of-life care to Arizona children facing life-threatening conditions, has introduced a new Kids for Ryan House program. This community engagement program offers kids the opportunity to make a difference through projects that help Ryan House children and families.

Ryan House Executive Director Julie Bank says, “It provides the kids involved an experience to learn respect and kindness to those who are different from them, as well as learn the importance of volunteerism in connecting with others to perform volunteer and community service projects in their neighborhood.” Those that are eligible can receive community service credits.

The Kids for Ryan House program is overseen in part by Ryan House’s Teen Board, comprised of high school volunteers. The group is seeking new members for the Teen Board. Requirements and information are available on the website.
