New Group Focuses on Near-Death Experiences

A new group affiliated with the International Association for Near-Death Studies has been formed. Phoenix IANDS, co-facilitated by Chuck Swedrock and Susan Amsden, founders of the Tucson IANDS group, joins existing IANDS groups in Mesa and Tucson that sponsor guest speakers to share their personal experiences and research based on studies and published findings in the field.

For more than 35 years, IANDS has provided information, education and support concerning near-death or similar transformative experiences. It publishes the quarterly Journal of Near-Death Studies, a professional, peer-reviewed academic journal to promote the study and open discussion of these experiences.
