Naturopathic Discovery Day at Southwest College March 22

Discovery Day, an open house with free activities designed to educate the community about naturopathic medicine and provide insight for prospective students, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., March 22, at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, in Tempe. Guest speakers, chair massages, acupuncture, herbal tea and protein drink tastings, book signings and raffle prizes will be on hand during the all-day open house.

Naturopathic doctors (ND) look beyond superficial symptoms and explore nutritional, emotional, environmental, hereditary and infectious factors that often are the cause of or contribute to a patient’s condition. Attendees will be able to examine easy, natural health tips and pointers to do at home; hear how NDs can help us feel better naturally; and learn more about the different types of treatments NDs can use, including botanical medicine, homeopathy, nutrition, acupuncture and much more.

Free breakfast and lunch will be served, and the first 100 people to check in on Discovery Day will receive a goodie bag. Location: 2164 E. Broadway Rd. For more information, visit scnm.edu/discovery_day (students) or scnm.edu/discoveryday (public).
