Annual Conference Promotes Counseling Profession

The Arizona Counselors Association Annual Conference, with a theme of Unification of the Profession, will take place June 20 and 21 at the Northern Arizona University North Valley Campus, in Phoenix. The keynote speaker is Marcheta Evans Ph.D., vice president for academic affairs and dean of the School of Professional Studies and Worden School of Social Service at Our Lady of the Lake University.

Sessions include Integrated Care; Mindfulness, Self-compassion and Sleep: How Personal Adjustment Variables Can Increase Counselor Self-Efficacy; Homeopathic Treatment of Psychiatric Conditions; Experiential Applications of Multidisciplinary Approaches to Nature-Based Therapy; and more.

Professional counselors, counseling students and other behavioral health professionals will be able to learn the latest developments in counseling; grow their individual professional practice; get educated about DSM5 and BBHE licensure changes; network with other leading professional counselors; and earn nine clock hours (NBCC approved). The general public is also welcome to attend.
