Earth Harmony Festival at Avalon Gardens

Avalon Organic Gardens & EcoVillage, in Tumacacori, Arizona, is hosting their third annual Earth Harmony Festival on October 4 and 5. Avalon Gardens, nestled in the picturesque Santa Cruz River valley, is one of North America’s largest ecovillages and a virtual oasis in the desert.

Activities include live music, healthy and tasty food, a vendor village with local and fair trade artisans, a fun and interactive children’s village with pony rides and camping for those that want to stay and enjoy the starry nights and sunny days. A highlight of the festival is the engaging and educational ecovillage tour.

Guests can explore sustainable living practices such as permaculture, organic gardening, seed-saving, the cultivation of heritage and heirloom vegetables and grains, composting, rain and grey water harvesting, eco-building projects, Arizona’s largest food forest system, solar and wind power, the workings of a community supported agriculture program and more. They will bear witness to change in action through a new paradigm of living, thinking, growing and achieving.

Admission is free. For more information and camping reservations, call 520-398-2542 or visit EarthHarmonyFestival.org.
