Belly Button Healing Takes Us Back to the Womb: The belly button is a major energy point related to many internal systems.

For all our technological abilities, we are still a society with a lot of illness and disease, perhaps more now than ever. The secret to health does not reside in technology; the primary source of our health is built right into our bodies. All of the nutrients that created the many parts of our body and brain passed through the umbilical cord. After the cord was cut, what was left is the belly button.

Although this part of the body does not serve the same function as it did when we were in the womb, it still serves as a major energy point that is closely connected to many of our internal systems. When we stimulate the navel through Belly Button Healing, we are also stimulating our small intestine and gut microbes, and increasing blood circulation to the entire body.

Many lymph nodes are located in the area around the belly button, and scientists say that our gut is responsible for about 75 percent of our immunity. We can buy all the healthy food we want, but if our organs and gut are not flexible and functioning well, we will not be able to process this food properly and our health will suffer.

As we rhythmically stimulate our belly button, the enteric nervous system (ENS) is activated, also called our “second brain”. The connection between the ENS and the brain is important because it can have a major influence on our emotions. The gut is responsible for more than 90 percent of serotonin production and 50 percent of dopamine production. These two neurotransmitters are largely responsible for our sense of joy and well-being, so Belly Button Healing can improve not only our blood circulation, digestion and immunity, but also our mental and emotional health.
