Unwind Yoga, an affordable new yoga studio, has opened at 1023 Grand Avenue, in the downtown Phoenix La Melgosa building. Owner Suzanne Zupancic says, “The first class is free for Valley residents.” At this yoga collective, yogis and yoginis can practice yoga, relax in the lounge and shop for yoga-related items.
Zupancic came to yoga in 2008, after more than 25 years in retail management. Yoga had a profound effect on her life physically and emotionally, and she felt compelled to harness this new vitality, sense of wellness and power with others. Her classes focus on alignment with intention, a little humor and a lot of realism.
She states, “At Unwind, we believe that yoga can be intimidating, but it shouldn't be. Everyone can enjoy yoga and reap its lifelong benefits as a way of life. Our classes are designed to meet you where you are, whether that means it's your first yoga class or your millionth."
Monthly membership is $78 and drop-in classes are $14; discounts for seniors over 60, students under 18, teachers, troops, police and fire professionals. For more information, call 602-538-5301, email [email protected] or visit UnwindYogaAz.com.
