Desert Magic

Desert Magic is a one-of-a-kind evening event set in the enchanting gardens of Tohono Chul, where the culinary and healing traditions of the Sonoran Desert come to life. Guests wander through the moonlit paths, stopping at chef stations to enjoy creative dishes that highlight native ingredients like mesquite, chiltepin, prickly pear, heirloom corn, and more. Interwoven throughout the night are interactive wellness experiences guided by local herbalists and healers, offering attendees a chance to connect more deeply with the land, their senses, and each other. Hosted by Tucson Foodie, Salus, and Local First Arizona, Desert Magic is a celebration of flavor, plants, and connection—rooted in place and guided by nature.
