If you want to learn more about the stars and planets, or if you have any little ones curious about the cosmos, then head to Lost Dutchman State Park, in Apache Junction, for a star party on Saturdays February 1, February 29 and March 28, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Every year, the Superstition Mountain Astronomical League holds a public viewing to give people the opportunity to see the moon, planets, star clusters, galaxies and other astronomical phenomena using sophisticated telescopes. Star parties are popular draws for people who want to take advantage of the chance to learn from knowledgeable and experienced local astronomers. Who knows what will be in the sky?

Admission is free with park entrance fee. People are asked to park at the Cholla parking lot and follow the solar-lit trail to the Saguaro day use area.

Location: 6109 N. Apache Trail, Apache Junction. For more information on this event and other Arizona State Parks events, visit AZStateParks.com.
